Nova Central School District places a strong emphasis on the arts. Through the provincial government’s Cultural Connections: A Fine Arts Strategy for Kindergarten to Grade 12 Education in Newfoundland and Labrador, the district has been able to purchase significant arts and music equipment and to support student travel to various performances, art exhibits and educational centres. Through Cultural Connections the district has also initiated a visiting artists’ program, a traditional music initiative, student art procurement and other special projects.
