Nova Central School District is one of five school
districts in Newfoundland and Labrador. The other four
districts are the Eastern School District, Western School District,
Labrador School District and the Conseil Scolaire francophone
provincial de Terre Neuve et Labrador.
Nova Central School District was
formed when the former Lewisporte-Gander and Baie
Verte-Central-Connaigre School Boards were merged. It is
governed by a fifteen (15) member board of trustees, elected or
appointed to represent eleven (11) different zones in Central
Newfoundland. For a list of the board members, go to the Trustees
link on our website. The district is managed by the Director of
Education, Ms. Cynthia (Cindy) Fleet.
